The decoration at this campsite was simply delightful. The rustic charm and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The general areas were well-maintained and clean, making it easy for senior people like myself to navigate around. I especially appreciated the comfortable seating areas where I could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
A small suggestion for an even better vacation for senior people would be to have more assistance available from the staff. While the children working there were friendly and helpful, having additional staff members who are trained to cater to the needs of older guests would truly enhance the experience.

Camping du Canal in Alsace was simply one of the best campsites I've ever stayed at! The owner, Matthias, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The facilities were top-notch and had everything we needed. The campsite is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, yet still within walking distance of a charming town. Matthias was always ready to assist us and took our suggestions to heart, showing his dedication to making our stay perfect. We will definitely be coming back!
Do recommend this hotel.

The room at Camping Du Canal was like a home away from home. It had a cozy seating area where I could unwind after a long day, a kitchen with all the necessary appliances to cook my own meals, and a dining area where I could enjoy them. The private bathroom was clean and had complimentary toiletries. As a business traveler, I appreciated having all these amenities to make my stay comfortable and convenient.
One thing I personally didn't like was the shower in the bathroom. However, this is just my opinion, and I understand others might still find it enjoyable.

Enjoyed the nearby activities like cycling and fishing. The mobile home had a quaint seating area and a private entrance, perfect for my posh self. Oh, and Basel airport is just a hop away!
I always enjoy sweating through a heat wave in a mobile home with no air conditioning. Such a lovely experience!

The landlord is an absolute rockstar, speaking flawless English and going above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. The brand new mobile homes were cozy with small bedrooms perfect for a restful night, while the spacious living area was great for cooking, dining, and bonding over games. We were warmly welcomed and had all the essentials for our stay, with a supermarket just a short drive away. The convenient location for our overnight stop on our Swiss-French journey was a dream. Although we didn't have a chance to try the on-site facilities like the bar and swimming pool, they looked like a hit when we arrived. This camping experience was hands down one of the best I've ever had. With immaculate facilities and everything you could ever need, plus picturesque surroundings and a nearby town, it felt like home. We'll definitely be back for more! The caravan was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the location near the canal and river Rhine on the Swiss-German border was ideal. The food was tasty, but a bit more variety would have been perfect. The peaceful atmosphere and good facilities made the stay even more enjoyable.

The units at Camping Du Canal are cozy, with a nice seating area and a fully equipped kitchen where I could cook my own meals. The private bathroom was clean and had everything I needed. As someone who enjoys being in touch with nature, I loved the simplicity and comfort of the rooms.
Personally, I found the microwave in the kitchen a bit outdated. But hey, that's just my opinion!

I absolutely adored the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. The decoration throughout was tasteful and had a delightful vintage charm that reminded me of my own home. The communal areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like myself, with handrails and comfortable seating. It was such a pleasure to relax and socialize in these spaces, making new friends among fellow guests.
Although the amenities at the hotel were generally satisfactory, I would have appreciated a few more activities or organized events specifically catered to senior guests. This would have added a touch of extra enjoyment to our vacation.

Pros of our stay were the clean and tidy caravan, friendly staff, ideal location near the canal and river Rhine, and good facilities. The food was nice but could do with more variety. The location was very quiet.

The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any requests. The location was great, near the canal and river, making it easy to enjoy outdoor activities. the mobile homes were new and clean, providing a comfortable and spacious living area.
The pictures on the website did not match the reality. The bedroom was small and not as cozy as depicted, and we were disappointed to receive disposable linen instead of proper bedding.

The units at Camping Du Canal were absolutely amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed to whip up some delicious veggie meals, and the seating area was so comfy and cozy. Plus, the private bathroom was clean and had all the necessary toiletries. As a vegetarian and vegan, it was the perfect setup for us!
Personally, I didn't enjoy using the microwave in the fully equipped kitchen. Others might still find it useful though.
